Prologue

Chapter 2

The supreme style of love is unknown love. If the affection is known by the beloved, that love is snob. If you sacrifice your life for the beloved, and she recognises your love after you die, your soul would be appraised.

A faultless person is one who withdraws from affairs. This must be done with strength.

There is surely nothing other than the single purpose of the present moment. A man's whole life is a succession of moment after moment. If one fully understands the present moment, there will be nothing else to do, and nothing else to pursue. Live being true to the single purpose of the moment.

Everyone lets the present moment slip by, then looks for it as though he thought it were somewhere else.

To talk about other people's affairs is a great mistake. To praise them, too, is unfttting. In any event, it is best to know your own ability well, to put forth effort in your endeavors, and to be discreet in speech.

The heart of a virtuous person has settled down and he does not rush about at things. A person of little merit is not at peace but walks about making trouble and is in conflict with all.

It is a good viewpoint to see the world as a dream. When you have something like a nightmare, you will wake up and tell yourself that it was only a dream. It is said that the world we live in is not a bit different from this.

People with intelligence will use it to fashion things both true and false and will try to push through whatever they want with their clever reasoning. This is injury from intelligence. Nothing you do will have effect if you do not use truth.

In affairs like law suits or even in arguments, by losing quickly one will lose in fine fashion. It is like sumo. If one thinks only of winning, a sordid victory will be worse than a defeat. For the most part, it becomes a squalid defeat.

Feeling deeply the difference between oneself and others, bearing ill will and falling out with people — these things come from a heart that lacks compassion. If one wraps up everything with a heart of compassion, there will be no coming into conflict with people.

A person who knows but a little will put on an air of knowledge. This is a matter of inexperience. When someone knows something well, it will not be seen in his manner.

why does it always rain on me

Science explains so well why rain happens. As for me, it's magical! It amazes me how rain falls down from the sky - when clouds get so gloomy and so dark, as if it could no longer contain what it holds. Seeing the rain falls... such a bliss :)

I love rain more at night, when the raindrops are reflected by headlights.
Rain is my best lullaby, hearing the raindrops on the roof gives me comfort...sigh...
Rain also gives me a nostalgia, reminiscing a bittersweet memoirs... such a pity thing to do(lonely smile). When i'm in mood for loneliness i wish for hard rain but then i feel guilty thinking all the people living in the streets, having no shelter. Silly, selfish me.

But most of all Rain feels my heart.

on a day like today

On a day like this I wouldn’t miss thinking because I have nothing to do that interests me. Not that I don’t have anything to do, in fact I’ve got tons of workloads piling up like my dress on my drawer which by the way is muddled and un-ironed, books left unread, movies unwatched, a-most-supposed to be finished extra job, grades and many more. Gee! But the thing is I’m super bored. My spirit is in chain. I wanna fly! I don’t want this and that, I want this and that and I don’t like this and that but I never, never changed. Guess it must be so hard since I’m a lot older right now. Ha ha!
Well, this is me. There’s chaos inside my thoughts.
